Everything you need.
Works with your Haltech.
Works out of the box
Every gauge and reading on the driving, last pull and diagnostics views, set up with our default layout. Just plug in and mount. Change anything later in settings.
Uses your ECU setup
Switches and dials control functions set up in your Haltech. If launch control isn't set up in your ECU, the launch switch won't do anything until it is.
Works with Haltech Elite and Nexus ECUs. Support for other major aftermarket ECUs is in development.
Questions
What hardware is included?
Everything you need: the pre-wired TapDash bridge that plugs into your Haltech's CAN port, a 6-inch Android handheld display loaded with TapDash, a dash mount, a protective case, a USB-C charger with a 10-foot USB-C cable, a sun visor, and step-by-step install instructions.
Which ECUs does it work with?
TapDash works with Haltech Elite and Nexus ECUs. We're working on support for other major aftermarket ECUs. Want yours next? Email us at info@tapdash.tech.
How hard is it to install?
Plug the bridge into your Haltech's CAN port, put the display in the mount, and plug in the USB-C cable. The kit includes step-by-step instructions. No coding and no wiring to the dash.
Does it turn on and off with the car? Will it drain my battery?
It wakes up when you turn the key and shuts down when you turn the car off, so it isn't running while you're parked.
What do I need for the switches and dials to work?
Each function has to be set up in your Haltech's own software first, by you or your tuner. TapDash doesn't change your ECU's setup. Once a function is set up there, pick it in TapDash's settings and it's on your screen.
Can I change what the gauges show?
Yes. It ships with a ready-to-go layout, and you can change any gauge, reading, color or switch in settings.
What about hot days?
The visor keeps the screen shaded. On very hot days, pop it out of the mount and put it in your center console.
When does it ship?
We build in small batches. Pre-orders ship in 4 to 8 weeks, in the order they were placed. Shipping is free within the US. We don't ship outside the US yet.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Yes. Cancel anytime before your kit ships and we'll refund you in full.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes, 90 days from delivery. If you don't love it, send it back with all its parts, undamaged, using our prepaid return label, and we'll refund you in full.
Are you affiliated with Haltech or BTI?
No. TapDash is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Haltech, BTI or any other company named on this page. We're car enthusiasts and hobbyists sharing what we built with other enthusiasts.
We're a car-enthusiast family in Oklahoma. As a car guy and electronics hobbyist, I built TapDash for my own 300ZX because I wanted it and couldn't buy it. Then other car people saw it and asked how they could get one. So we're building a small first batch.
